Questions About About Park Theatre

Parking and Photography at Berkeley's Greek Theatre

Going to Daft Punk tonight at Berkeley's Greek Theatre, and was wondering about parking and photography. Parking in Berkeley is generally a pain, and with Daft Punk playing tonight, I assume it'll be worse. Are there any good spots for parking (don't mind paying $5 or so)? My original plan was to just drive to Ashby BART, then take the train up to downtown Berkeley. However, three of us are going, and that adds up to $4.80 in BART fare, so I was thinking of just parking in the area and skip waiting for the BART and walking. Secondly, the Another Planet site says no photography, but I've heard from "some website" that restrictions at the are not stupid pretty lax. Can I bring a DSLR in, or should I stick with the P&S?

Where to eat near Curran Theatre in SF?

Theatre Night tomorrow! Where can we eat before seeing a play at the Curran Theatre? We're going to see Next to Normal tomorrow night! I am very excited, except for figuring out where to eat prior to the show (curtain at 8). Some considerations: - I'm coming from work downtown, Mr. Kiddo from near GG Park; - We need to eat near the theatre (walking distance in heels); - I get very very anxious about being late to shows... So we need a place that has good/prompt service, and: - When the inevitable happens--like I insist we leave 30 minutes sooner than we need to--we need to find a bar to have a drink in. Not enough requirements? I don't want anything super fancy; going to the play is treat enough.

So I think we got conned/scammed tonight in Mexico. Have some questions about it, and maybe it will help someone else in the future.

Alright. Corona first, la cerveza mas fina. That hit the spot. Ok so went to see Avengers tonight with my wife in Mexico, was given the keys to the car to go by ourselves. Got there fine, parked right in front of the theatre in a big paid parking lot. I remember looking back at the car, turning …

Whats biased about this newspaper article? (PLEASEEEE help!)?

Remember the hullabaloo last winter and spring when TreeGO tried to set up shop in beautiful Victoria Park? The proposal met with much opposition, prompting its supporters to argue that once again Truro must do more to transform itself into a small town utopia that somehow manages to retain and/or attract lots of young people. It’s an argument that we don’t put much stock in. Not when the greater Truro community comes complete with movie theatres, bowling alleys, swimming pools, soccer and football fields, hockey rinks, concert venues, golf courses, a few bars, bands and other musical groups, a skatepark, walking parks and a whole lot more, including a new civic centre that is less than two years away from opening. That may not be enough for some of the lowlifes among us whose idea of a good time is swarming unsuspecting citizens in the Truro-Bible Hill area, but we think it offers plenty of fun options for those who have evolved beyond the Neanderthal stage. Best place to advertise creative/theatre/singing gig in NYC?

A small, cheerful, talented group of strangers will run into my girlfriend & I somewhere in NYC and break into song to help me propose to her. How do I find these fine folks? I plan to propose to my girlfriend in a couple of months. I live in Manhattan and she will be visiting. We have talked about it, so the answer is not in doubt; I just want to make it memorable. Here's what I'm thinking: We are out in Central Park or somewhere, chance upon some 3-5 people who randomly break into a song or something, telling her how awesome I am and how she should totally marry me. It's all vague at this point, but I guess if I find some creative types, they would know where to go with this. So my question is: 1. Is there a better place than craigslist(/gigs/creative) where I could advertise this? 2. I don't know how much this should cost, but $300-500 for 10-15 person-hours of time (including suggesting a song and meeting us at a pre-arranged time/place) of almost-prof

What are the best places to eat around Disneyland that is inexpensive?

Hey, I'm planning a trip to Disneyland. It is likely just going to be m sister and I. I am trying to keep it somewhat inexpensive because I am saving for my Disney World/Cruise honeymoon and a house. We are going four about 7 nights. Looking to go to both Disney parks, Legoland, San Diego Zoo, Universal, the OC Tour and also a shopping district near Disneyland, I forget the name they have Dave & Busters, Krispy creme, movie theatre, etc. I'm wanting some nice places to eat at each park and in the area. We won't have a car, just ART to get around, so it needs to be nearby and in the parks. I'm looking to spend around $10 per person per meal, if under it is even better, but this is a ball park. We don't need anything fancy, since it is just going to be us. But we would like some variety other than just hamburgers from McDonalds. ~Thank ya~

What unusual/interesting/fun/unmissable things can I do while living in central London?

What unusual/interesting/fun/unmissable things can I do while living in central London? I moved to central London in July with some friends and we have been on a total mission ever since to find out as much stuff to do during our year here as possible. (We'll be leaving at the end of August 07.) We've already done/planned to do much of the usual tourist stuff - attractions like the bridges, museums, parks and gardens, aquarium, zoo, theatres, festivals (including free - Notting Hill, Fruitstock, Caribbean Showcase - and paid), walks, tours (land and river), markets and canals. I want to know if anyone has done anything that isn't widely known about or have heard is really worth doing and can recommend it. (Exhibitions? Hidden pubs? Tiny museums?) I've actually got my weekends full up until mid November (I wasnt joking when I said I was on a mission) but anything for around christmas or great to do in wintertime would be brilliant. which are the best acting universities in the US, how do i get started?

i tried finding a list of top rated universities in the united states for acting (not so much theatre, probably more interested in film, tv, that sort of thing) and couldn't find anything. i'm looking for a good school that isn't crazy expensive. a friend of mine said point park in pittsburgh is pretty good, but i'd like to know of more, and i am not particular about the state they're in. also, i have a G.E.D. and probably need to go to community college first. should i take general ed classes or find a school that offers some kind of acting course?

Help critisizing my essay.?

Okay, so for Comp 1. I have to write a descriptive essay. I have to pick a place in my county and describe in (but more than just what you see, I have to describe it in a way you've never looked at it before) So I've picked the AMC theatre. This is just my first rough (by rough I mean VERY rough) draft. So if you could please tell me what you think. Any help is appreciated! Looming large in Tulsa’s entertainment industry is the AMC theatre. It’s a place to kick back and enjoy a movie with your friends or family. Although it’s a great place to go for a group hangout, a girls’ night out, or even a date, the AMC is much more than a mere hang out spot for young people. The AMC is a place that can bring people together, let you get to know someone better, or perhaps meet some one new. Individuals can be drawn together by laughter at the same scene, their joy of talking during movies, their annoyance at people who talk during movies, and many other mannerisms that are showed at the
