from last couple of series, ishant sharma bowling with the old ball, taking the pace off, using slow balls. Also today he was given old ball, with taking pace off the ball, he took 3 wickets today but been little expensive. And he has been from last couple of series. he considering too many runs and not now remain wicket taking bowler. India keen to open the bowling attack with slow medium pace kumar with nehra. kumar bowl wicket to wicket and not conseder too many runs. he also can be successful with the old ball rather then new one. And india might be spoiling ishant talent. he can ball with 145-148 KMP. and have potent to destroy any team batting. As ponting say that he is happy that ishant is not in good form. So he can be dangerous with the new ball rather then old one with the pace on the ball. and he would open with nehra. kumar can be more successfull with old ball, he usually bowl cutter. which are handy at middle of the inning.
Questions About Ishant
In my opinion it was the 49th and 50th over of English innings where 38 runs were scored. Ishant Sharma's 49th over where he conceded 20 runs likely sealed the match for England. India matched England's score throughout the innings all the way until the 48th over. Its only 49th and 50th over, that India couldn't match
Today, if India has levelled the series, it is because of Dinda's terrific death bowling. No doubt, Yuvraj played an excellent innings but on a flat pitch with batsmen going great guns there was immense pressure on Dinda. His 3/12 in the last two overs gave Ishant plenty to bank on. Another thing, B. Kumar who made headlines in the last match was pathetic today. Was he just a one-match wonder or had a bad day on a bowler killing wicket?
If the Australians are committing Ball tempering then surely the empire must have noticed? Why don't Indian fast bowlers like Ishant Sharma etc "forge" swing and bowl out Australia for under 200?
