Questions About Los Angeles Security Guard

My cat is not a guard cat.

Where can we purchase a solid wood vintage door (circa 1920s) in Los Angeles? So, the BF and I found the perfect apartment. The only problem is the back door...it isn't secure AT ALL. I've read plenty of posts on here about burglar-proofing apartments, which have actually made me more concerned about this situation. The current door has a glass pane that isn't very stable. His argument is that there are two deadbolts, but one is so loose, you could easily punch it out! To make matters worse, I could probably kick this door in with a few good kicks (and I'm a wimp). I get it, the landlord wishes to keep the 1920s aesthetic to our building, but this door is a total piece of crap. We would prefer to have a solid

What Obama-nation agency is systematically destroying American jobs?

The FDIC, as one correspondent reports ... Halsey Minor, once Founder of CNET, and now attempting to start other businesses finds that only ruin and ruination are the fruits of Obama-tree. He writes: ---- Forget "shovel-ready projects," the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation under Chairwoman Sheila Bair is literally taking the working shovels out of the hands of hard-working Americans as it hijacks -- and then mothballs -- construction projects across the country. This is what "recovery" looks like in too many American towns: half-built projects rotting behind chain-link fences as desperate workers sit idle and politicians search for new shovels to fill with pork. One of those projects is mine. For more than a year, a boutique hotel in my hometown of Charlottesville, VA has sat rusting within sight of Thomas Jefferson's Monticello. Other projects in places such as Los Angeles, Albuquerque and Milwaukee have met similar fates as Bair's FDIC refuses even to answer the phone cal

How do I practice law?

How do I practice law...without a law degree? (WAY more inside...sorry) I really need to elaborate: I have a lot of time on my hands for the next 6-8 months. I'm talking lots! In the past when I had tons of time, I have: *become a watchmaker (making an automatic watch from scratch) *become a licensed pharmacist technician *learned so much HR that I sat for the senior PHR test (and failed by 1 question...darn) Thats just to show my dedication, and the amount of time I actually have on my hands. So now another big bulk of time is coming up and I've been toying with the idea of practicing law. I'm not talking about working at a firm, having clients, or even advising people. Heck no. I'm talking about representing myself in court. Over the past year (in Los Angeles County), I've encountered TONS of people who take advantage of consumers like me. I had a landlord that took my rent and deposit but never paid the bank. They foreclosed th
