Questions About Washington Courts

US Supreme Court

Feeling strongly on the issue, I'm planning on heading into Washington, DC in hopes of being in the courtroom when the Supreme Court hears Hamdi v. Rumsfeld and Padilla v. Rumsfeld. Keeping in mind the likely popularity of these cases, when should I show up and be on line? If I make it in to hear argument on the first case, will I need to try to throw someone some cash for their ticket to the second? What might be helpful to know that I won't find on the official info sheet? [last three links PDF] (Also, do I have to show up EXTRA early now that I've mentioned this on MeFi?)

How many police forces have jurisdiction in Washington, DC?

How many police forces have jurisdiction in the District of Columbia? (For the purposes of this, I'm taking 'police' to be roughly equivalent to 'people empowered to arrest citizens in (primarily) public areas of the city', excluding e.g. embassy security staff and so on.) There's at least the Metropolitan Police, the Supreme Court police, the Secret Service, the Park Police, the National Zoo police, the US Mint Police, and the Capitol Police, but I'm sure there are more. Does anybody know either of a definitive list, or have further additions?

Where can I play basketball in Washington DC area (Bethesda) late at night?

Where can I play basketball in Washington DC (Bethesda) area late at night? I'd like to play basketball late at night this Monday and Tuesday nights. I prefer playing on outdoor courts with lights, for free, until 3AM, that is optimal. sub optimal would be indoor courts, that cost money, till midnight or something. Anyone know where the games are at? closer to Bethesda is a bonus thanks!
